Dottie's  career spanned parts of five decades, beginning at Starday in 1959,  to her last recording, a duet with Arne Benoni, in 1991.

Dottie was one of the top grossing acts in the 70's with her concerts overseas and her tours with Kenny Rogers.

She was also nominated for several music industry awards and a winner of a Grammy®, Country Music Association award, a Music City News Country Award, several BMI songwriters awards as well as a CLEO for her song Country Sunshine featured in a Coca-Cola commercial.
